2012 Boggs Mountain Humane Shelter Capital Campaign

Boggs Mountain Humane Shelter will focus on an effort to raise $60,000 in medical equipment for our on site Spay/Neuter Clinic in 2012. We can perform spay neuters now, but nowhere near the daily numbers we need to achieve.

We anticipate performing 1,500 low cost/subsuduzed spay/neuters for private sector dogs and cats in 2012, in addition to the 500 adoptions from Boggs Mountain Humane Shelter.

Our goal is to convert our Spay/Neuter Clinic into a high impact Spay/Neuter Clinic, where 30-35 sterilizations can be performed in one day by a contracted veterinarian. In order to accomplish this goal, we require 4 anesthesia machines, a larger autoclave to sterilize surgical instruments, and 40 "steri packs", which are stainless steel surgical instrument packages.

By supporting this important fundraising campaign, your gift will prevent the birth of millions of unwanted puppies and kittens in the next six years in northeast Georgia, and will make a significant impact in animal over-populations, euthanasia in Animal Control facilities, neglect, and abuse. Spay/Neuter is your empowerment to help our shelter solve these problems on a major scale.
